HBA Art Advisory provides independent curatorial and comprehensive art advisory services. Our expertise ranges from emerging contemporary art to modern masters. We specialize in art that is intellectually and conceptually bold as well as technically accomplished. Our aim is to facilitate relationships between artists, collectors, art venues and institutions.

International in scope and based in San Francisco since 2001, we assist both emerging and seasoned private collectors, corporations, and institutions in forming sophisticated collections across all mediums from emerging and established artists in both the primary and secondary art markets.

Holly Baxter is Principal in Holly Baxter & Associates LLC and is Executive Director for the Human Rights Foundation’s international art program, Art in Protest.  She is also a Board Member at Gray Area Foundation for the Arts. Previously Ms. Baxter served for seven years on the Board of Directors at SF Camerawork, the SECA commitee at SFMOMA, and the National Advisory Board of Artadia.

Ms. Baxter created, launched, and directed RH Contemporary Art (RHCA), the contemporary art division of RH (NYSE: RH), dedicated to bringing international artists to a global audience, showcasing their work on both an innovative web-based platform and in a 28,000 square foot gallery in New York City, and fostering their talent through an elite artist residency program in Brooklyn.

 

Marina Goulart

Marina Goulart, Associate

Marina provides support and coordination for the art advisory process including research, exhibition planning, shipping and logistics, insurance, exhibition documents, and project operations. Marina has a background in marketing and communication with a degree from ESPM (Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing) in São Paulo and most recently has been working on her MBA in Design Strategy at California College of the Arts. Before collaborating with the HBA Art Advisory team, she organized multiple art travel experiences bringing groups of VIP patrons to international art fairs and events, and has collaborated with leading Brazilian galleries on art fair strategy and participation in the United States. Originally from Brazil, Marina spearheaded the communications team and supported the partnership and VIP relations team for the São Paulo International Art Fair, SP-Arte, from 2015-2018. Previously she worked in marketing for several large corporations and in fashion PR for global brands. Based in San Francisco, she has lived in Italy and the UK. She is keen on exploring new ideas and places.

Isabella Tunioli

Isabella Tunioli, Associate

Isabella assists with the organization of art collections for the clients of our art advisory, specifically within the realm of collections management and information. Isabella has her BA in Art History and a minor in Fine Arts from the University of San Francisco. Her background in collections management stems from documenting artwork within the Collections Information department at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Isabella’s motivation for recording and organizing even the smallest detail of an art piece derives from an overall vision of preserving history and one-of-a-kind assets.
